The Cancer and Obesity Task Force strives to increase awareness of the link between obesity and cancer, provide evidence of the impact of obesity on cancer prevention and treatment, and increase knowledge of the role of healthy eating and active living in preventing obesity and cancer. The connection between obesity and cancer slide deck is a resource that will provide consistent messaging to healthcare providers and public health workers. This will increase awareness and understanding of the risk obesity poses for patients as it relates to cancer. This will allow for easy access to up to date information on the incidence of obesity and obesity related cancers.
